Message from English coach 

Hi, I’m Emily! I recently finished my second year of college, and I have been studying the liberal arts with a focus in writing and film. In high school, I took several English classes, from AP English Literature and Film Composition and Literature to Escape Literature and Creative Writing. I also worked on my school’s arts and culture magazine (C-Magazine).

I received a regional gold award and national silver award in the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards for a creative nonfiction piece. I also took group lessons with an SAT tutor throughout middle and high school, so I’m familiar with the format of the reading and writing sections of the SAT test.

Through my academic and extracurricular activities, I’ve gained experience with many genres of writing, some of which include: research papers, personal essays, argumentative essays, literary analysis essays, creative writing, and publication writing (ex. journalism, magazines).
